This is me holding the very first retrieve of my career. It was a Ruffed Grouse. I was 8 months old in this picture.
This is me holding the first Pheasant that I ever retrieved. I was 9 months old in this picture.
The GIANT Duck !
This is the first Duck that I ever retrieved. It was a Giant Duck, which has been identified as a
"Cayuga-Mallard". It is a very rare natural hybrid. This duck weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces and had a 39.5" wingspan. For perspective, I am 9 months old and weigh 79 pounds in this picture. There are more pictures of this duck on the "More Hunting Photos" page.
